News from the Plough...11th September 2008 – We're once again proud to be included in CAMRA's latest 2009 Good Beer Guide. New Year 2008/09 - we've booked the XLS once again...free entry, some lite bites but please please please, bring some change with you this year - oh! and bring your glasses to the bar when you've finished with them - we're only a small place! 13th September 2007 - We're proud to have been included in CAMRA's latest 2008 Good Beer Guide. We'd also like to welcome 2 new teams, one darts and one pool who have found a new home here. Darts playing on a Wednesday night (The Plough and Wood's Best) and pool on a Thursday night. 14th September 2006 - Having run out of the Irish-nitro-chemico-fizz-gas-black-stuff one evening a couple of weeks ago, one of our locals has today installed a black and white glass fronted box with a tin of the black stuff in it with the words "In case of emergency, lift glass" (picture below) at the back of the snug bar. Not sure who did it yet, but clearly the man has no taste for real ale!
We are now a wifi zone, so you can connect up to broadband at the Plough free of charge at speeds up to 8mbps - works best in the snug bar - bring your own wireless enabled laptop though.
